Service Description

The Career Exploration and Assessment process at StartSmart U is a structured, multi step evaluation designed to clarify strengths, interests, values, and emerging career themes. Rather than relying on a single inventory, we use a layered assessment approach to identify patterns across personality traits, academic performance, motivational drivers, and preferred work environments. Assessment results are reviewed in a guided advisory session where we translate data into realistic career clusters and potential post secondary pathways. This conversation moves beyond “what sounds interesting” to examine long term alignment, labour market considerations, academic prerequisites, and progression requirements within Ontario programs. Families receive a documented summary outlining identified career themes, aligned program categories, and recommended next steps for exploration. The goal is not to force early specialization, but to create informed direction that supports intentional course planning and experience building.
